Whether we like it or not, summer is coming to a swift close. Back to school we go. When I was little, there was next to nothing as thrilling as back to school shopping. I have been a pen and paper kind of girl from birth. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on new folders, pens, pencils, stickers, tape, trapper keepers, the whole nine yards each school year and to this day I am convinced that fine paper products are the key to success.
As mothers, during the back to school shopping season, we should not only treat our students to quality paper goods, but ourselves too! The news of Sugar Paper opening at Lido Marina Village took me back to the glory days of prepping for back to school. I could see it now all the pens and pencils lined up neatly and greeting cards for every occasion, I couldn’t wait for the doors to open and just in time for back to school!
When I was asked to gather a list of names for the store opening, I couldn’t oblige fast enough. I couldn’t wait to meet the dream team behind Sugar Paper, see the sparkly new store and shop to my heart’s content. Meeting the women behind the cutest papers and trimmings at Target for holiday was a big deal. These women have changed my life for the better and many of yours too!
The store did not disappoint. Everything was in its place and perfectly organized as it should be considering the purpose of these products (Organization = life). I had to get a hold of myself as I quickly had more products in hand than I could physically carry. Since there are no shopping carts at Lido I had to pick and choose.
Here’s what I couldn’t live without:
– A modern Russel + James pad of grid paper backed to a sheet of gold metal with two little studs in front. So, so cute- that now lives in my office.
– A black and white gingham checked little catch all tray that now lives in my bathroom on the sink.
– A hot pink pen because duh.
– A card reading “California Girl” in hot pink for my best friend’s daughter’s birthday.
– A menu planner – because somehow this will inspire me to actually meal plan.
– A mint and white checked pen because who doesn’t need another cute pen in their handbag?
– A gift- A book all about Rosé for Arden from Argaux.
– A book for myself, Surf Shack – had been wanting this for a little while.
I wanted so much more. I love their personalized section with journals, pads of paper for your desk that you can monogram, thank you notes, etc. The card section is filled to the brim with witty sayings, thoughtful but not cheesy text and beautiful/stylish artwork and typefaces.
Their options for custom papers are to die for. There wasn’t a page that I flipped past that didn’t catch my eye for one reason or another. I, all of a sudden, needed all new custom thank you notes, business cards, letterhead and so on in a variety of typefaces and colors. I highly recommend taking a gander at their book of custom papers when you visit.
Right now, they are having their online warehouse sale and I highly suggest you click here to shop!! Sooo many cute items on sale perfect for back to school. Here are a few favorites:
