Since the day we met, Sam and I have both have strived towards a healthier life and have enjoyed being on this journey together. As former collegiate volleyball players at USC we were always leaning on each other for tips and tricks for feeling our best to perform.
We spent so much time and energy reading research and going to a crazy amount of health practitioners that we became the go-to health gurus among our friends. Finally, we thought ‘why not collaborate and share what we’ve learned (with endless trial and error!) with others’.
We both dove deeper into our wellness journey and become Certified Holistic Health Coaches. We’re happy to feel as though we are serving our divine purpose helping others in their pursuit of wellness.
We were following many health and wellness websites but felt overwhelmed by all the extreme information we were receiving. From fad diets to drastic lifestyles we realized we just wanted to live in balance without feeling punished for eating a piece of cake with a glass of wine.
Health is such a trendy topic right now (which is so amazing!!) but people can become obsessed with these new ideas and think that because one person eats and lives a certain way that works for them that means we all should.
We believe in bio-individuality meaning our bodies are all so different and have such different needs. There is no one-size-fits-all regimen but thats what is also so unique about one’s health journey… Because you really do need to explore different things to find what works for you to feel your best.
This leads to where we came up with the name Conscious Curators. We want to live a life and help others live a life that is curated from a life lived within- consciously listening to one inner compass in order to make daily decisions, whether it be with food, exercise, spirituality, or travel.
Routine for stress management
Everyone has personal stressors and who doesn’t want to live a less stressful life?!
Here is one of our favorite go-to morning routines for those days when we are feeling extra pressed…
- Go to bed early and set the alarm for 30 minutes earlier than you normally wake up (try and shoot a time before your husband, kids, roommate or whoever rises and starts stirring around)
- Make your morning coffee or tea and light some Palo Santo to clear any negative energy in the air
- Find a quiet and tranquil place in your home to meditate (even if it’s just for a couple minutes!)
- Then use a personal notepad to write down all your intentions and goals for the day
