We all have our strengths and weaknesses.
One of my strengths is eating chocolate chip cookies and thankfully, one of my best friend’s strengths is baking chocolate chip cookies:)
Much like my wardrobe, I like to stick to the classics. When it comes to satisfying a sweet tooth, you cannot go wrong with a warm chocolate chip cookie fresh out of the oven paired with a tall, ice cold glass of milk. Mmmmmm.
Over the last few years, there has been a trend when it comes to sweet treats where everyone wants to get crafty with “new and improved” flavors. With the classics, there is no need. You can’t improve upon the best.
Norelle is a whiz in the kitchen. She amazes me because she has twins and a toddler and still somehow manages to make breakfast, lunch and dinner. Every. Day. (show off)
Her favorite thing to do in that kitchen of hers is bake. Lucky for her boys and husband, there is and will never be a shortage of scrumptious snacks readily available. Her daughter will grow up not knowing that not every woman is the same as her cooking, baking queen of a mother and will most likely follow in her footsteps as it is one of their favorite activities to do together.
My mom certainly enjoyed consuming a sweet treat and taught me the value of having baked goods on hand, however, never quite showed me my way around in the kitchen. With that being said, I appreciate a step by step recipe with detailed instructions on how-to get the best result. I am certainly not the one to do a dab of this and a sprinkle of that intuitively and have a masterpiece in the end.
Some of Norelle‘s best are these salty chocolate chunk cookies. After you follow this recipe below…you’ll see why.
Happy sweet and salty.
